Hi, everyone!

I want to have a trip around Spain and to buy interrail one country pass. It is my first interrail experience, so i want to ask some questions.

I want to take those trains to travel:

00922 TRENHOTEL 20.20 10.55 14 h. 35 min. BARCELONA - A CORUÑA - 12 Jule
00852 TRENHOTEL 21.55 08.05 10 h. 10 min. A CORUÑA - MADRID - 15 Jule
09386 ALVIA 19.05 22.55 3 h. 50 min. MADRID - HUELVA - 19 Jule
13041 MD 06.55 08.27 1 h. 32 min HUELVA - SEVILLA 22 Jule
03941 AVE 16.00 21.35 5 h. 35 min SEVILLA - BARCELONA 22 Jule

It is very expensive trip for me, so i wanted to buy interrail. Tell me please what should i do to make my trip come true? Is the plan i have real with interrail?

I should buy interrail one country pass for 4 days? Where i can book these exact trains? Can i be sure i get them? How much money i need to get to these cities with interrail?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Katerina.

Spain is a bit hostile for InterRail travelers as you have to pay for nearly every train a supplement.
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/spain/es

I recommend you as well to check the website of the Spanish rail company, as you know your travel dates and you might have luck and find cheaper special discounted normal rail tickets: www.renfe.es

It is a bit of calculation. ;)

Barcelona-A Coruna: https://rail.cc/en/night-train/barcelona-a-coruna-hot-922/213
A Coruna-Madrid: should be the same like above - but I just saw, the Estrella night trains might have changed to trainhoteltrains. So a 4-bed compartment can be about EUR 30.
Madrid-Huelava: AVIA train = supplement EUR 6,50
Huelava-Sevilla: MD train = supplement EUR 4
Sevilla-Barcelona: AVE train = supplement EUR 10

You can make use of the rule-1900h-for-nighttrains to save travel days: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train

so does the Reservation for the night Train from A Coruna to Barcelona cost 30 euros?
and is it possible to take the night Train if it leaves at 18h in the evening? (because of the 19h rule)
thanks

Hi!

https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/a-coruna-barcelona-th-921/214

Two travel days are needed; the 1900 does not apply from A Coruna.

Of course.

Again, note that the night train consists of 1st class accomodation only so you would have to pay the difference between 1st and 2nd class fare in addition of the reservation costs.

allright, how much is the difference?
sorry that I'm asking all these questions...
I can't figure out yet how you can answer so many posts all day long and so fast :D

Hej,...well, sometimes it takes a bit longer. ;)
I cant tell you the exact difference, as the night train consists of 1st class accomodation only. On the daytime Alvia train the difference is 22,20€...use this as a guideline.

Hey, I did not find a connection between Valenca (Portugal) and Guillarei.
I want to go from Porto to A Coruna, but the only connections that this site is showing me are via Medina del Campo (Spain)
http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query2.exe/en?rt=1&
this connection would take me about 10 hours longer.
how is it possible to cross the border at Valenca to get to Guillarei?
Do I have to take a bus?
thanks!

Yeah, the new direct Celta services have just been introduced - and they are a rip-off for Rail Pass customers: 7€ reservation fee, the regular fare is 14,75€... :((
