Me and 6 other friends are going interrail on 2nd July. Basically a few things to sort out before we go! Just wondered whether i need the following

- Travel Insurance
- Adapter
- Mobile Phone - not sure what to do about mobile phones because we all need to stay in contact, but don't want it to cost an arm and a leg!

Also is there anything you would really recommend that i may have forgotten - the none obvious like a pack of cards or something like that!

Hi!

- Travel Insurance: I always get an insurance that covers the length of my journey...nothing special but nice to have in case something unexpected happens.
- Adapter: Many hostels offer adapters (sometimes at a little charge, sometimes you only have to pay a deposit) - if you need it often think about getting one for yourself, otherwise you should be fine with those you get at the hostels
- Mobile Phone: Never really needed it; to stay in contact with your group during the trip it's probably cheaper to fix a certain place and time where to meet (ie if some of you are going to a museum and other shopping and want to meet afterwards) and dont use your mobiles. But take them with you in case of an emergency it's nice to have them.

Other stuff: Pack of cards is a good idea; if you're travelling a lot maybe think about the Thomas Cook European Rail Timetable
