Hey so we're first time interrailers and really confused about it all.
we're getting a 10 day pass in august. need to finish up in brussels for pukkelpop the problem is a route.
Its a toss up between Lake bled in slovenia and krakow, I've heard they're both great places and we originally wanted to get them both in and in our ignorance we thought we could get from slovenia to krakow on one of those night trains and sleep through it but there doesnt seem to be a train to do that. unless any of you know how we could do that we're gna have to pick. Cant afford to spend 2 days gettin there.
basically our routes options are:
slovenia-prague-frankfurt-brussels.
or krakow-prague-frankfurt-brussels
or finally and probably our preferred one would be slovenia-budapest-krakow-prague-brussels, i have found a 15 hour train from prague to brussels, just a little wary of it as there doesnt seem to be much info out there. if anybody has been on this we'd love to hear how you got on.
I'm kinda worried we're trying to get too much in in 2 weeks as well. once we get to brussels we're fairly happy to head straight to pukkelpop, we're from ireland so it's no big deal getting over to brussels for a weekend at another time.
how long do you suggest we spend in each city. we were thinkin 2 nights and a full day and a half.
Any other advice on how we could make the route better would be great as well.
we're so confused!!!
Thanks guys!

Hi.
If you want to use a night train on the direct way Bled-Krakow, you can do it this way (but it is 2 travel days):
Bled Jezero Dep: 1600 | free Regional train
Jesenice(SL) Arr: 1616
Jesenice(SL) Dep: 1627 | free EC train
Villach Hbf Arr: 1706
Villach Hbf Dep: 1714 | free OEC train
Wien Meidling Arr: 2128
Wien Meidling Dep: 2223 | night train: https://rail.cc/en/vienna-krakow-night-train/f1902
Krakow Glowny Arr: 0624
Other route could be Bled-Ljubljana-Budapest and then in a next step Budapest-Krakow (for example by night train: https://rail.cc/en/budapest-krakow-night-train/f3304 - but also possible by day train). So you will have 2 travel days as well and Budapest included, definitely worth to see with cheap hostels.
Prague to Brussels is possible (depends on how you travel before and the days you have):
Prague-Berlin: https://rail.cc/en/prague-berlin-train/f3360
Berlin-Amsterdam: https://rail.cc/en/berlin-amsterdam-train/f2407
Or directly Prague-Amsterdam: https://rail.cc/en/prague-amsterdam-night-train/f3748
Amsterdam-Brussels: https://rail.cc/en/amsterdam-brussels-train-thalys/f3991
For more routes and the direct way to Prague (several options, but avoid the THALYS train in the Netherlands/Belgium), just use the schedule planer: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
And if you want to support our project, buy your official InterRail pass via [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] - thank you, Peter :)

thanks peter for your help. think we might have to give slovenia a miss :( :( seems like too heavy a route with it. so we might go krakow - prague - munich - brussels. maybe squeezing in budapest at the start.
thanks again!!
