Seems that most of the countries I want to visit are quite expensive. When I travel in the USA I usually eat in McDonald's as a hamburger in the middle of New York City costs the same as one in rural Texas...$1. How much does a hamburger cost in Germany, BeNeLux, Switzerland, France...

Germany
Hamburger: EUR 1
Cheesburger: EUR 1
I recommend to have a small camping-stove with you, as you safe a lot of money cooking your own noddles with some tomato...
Often the hostels offer a kitchen.

This is from 2007, but I'll think it's pretty much the same. It's called the Big Mac index.

There are 2009 numbers from the Big Mac Index.
I personally try to eat more interesting local food when I travel, but I won't moralise :)

I woud recommend to google MC Donalds Gutscheine before or during your trip in Germany. If you have luck you can get Mc Donalds Coupons for some German stores. You can print them out or also ask in the stores. You can get then 2 BigMacs/Mc Chicken/Chickennuggets for the price of one! Or if you buy a Big Mac Meal you get a second Big Mac for free. Burger King and Subway have sometimes coupons too.
Moscow (August 2010)
Cheesburger 30 Rubel Hamburger 25 Rubel
Big Mac 70-80 Rubel

Prices can vary, but if you're curious about the latest on McDonald's menu offerings and pricing, you can find more details here.

That’s a smart travel hack—McDonald’s really is a global equalizer when it comes to pricing! While local restaurants can vary wildly in cost, the [McDonald's Menu](https://mcdsmenuprices.co.uk/) tends to stay relatively consistent, making it a reliable choice whether you're in New York, rural Texas, or cities across Europe. In places like Germany, BeNeLux, or France, a basic hamburger might cost around €1–€2, though prices can be a bit higher in Switzerland. Still, it’s one of the most budget-friendly ways to stay full while exploring expensive destinations!

Great question! When it comes to [indoor volleyball shoes](http://topvolleyballshoes.com/), is a standout brand—especially for players who need a wider fit. Their shoes offer excellent grip, cushioning, and stability, all essential for quick, dynamic movements on indoor courts. Plus, the extra room makes a big difference in comfort and performance. What’s your go-to brand for indoor play?
