hello there !
I was wondering what a travel day counts like. me an three friends are going to buy the interrail global pass, 10 travel days within 22 days. and inorder to plan our trip we need to understand what that counts as a travelday.
me an my friends where thinking about traveling from sweden to berlin and staying in berlin for 3 days, then to split or dubrovnik in croatia and stay there for about 1day or two, from there to courfu stay there 2 days, then to venice for one day and from there to rome where we will stay 3-4
days before we return to gothenburg, sweden. do you think this is possible with the amount of travel days we have ? any help at all would be wounderful.
thank you
:D

Hi!
One travel day counts from 0001 - 2359 on the day you mark in your InterRail Flexi Pass. Ie if you mark the 3rd July you can use all trains by the companies participating in InterRail on that day - no matter if you are crossing borders, take only one train or have to change several times.
You will only have to watch out for some trains (night trains and high speed trains for the most part) which require an additional supplement/reservation. You can find a list of those trains here: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation
When travelling with an InterRail Flexi Pass you can also use the 1900-rule which is explained here: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train
Let's have a look at your trip now:
Gothenburg - Berlin :arr: 1st travel day (note that you cant use InterRail in your country of residence, thus you will need a ticket up to the Swedish border)
Berlin - Split: :arr: 2nd and 3rd travel day (there are no trains running to Dubrovnik, you'd have to get there by ferry or bus)
Croatia - Corfu: :arr: 4th travel day
Corfu - Venezia: :arr: 5th travel day
Venezia - Roma: :arr: 6th travel day
Roma - Gothenburg: :arr: 7th and 8th travel day
So you would still have two days left in case you want to make an extra stop somewhere or as safety if you get stuck somewhere. :)
Hope that helps so far - maybe also have a look at this topic: https://rail.cc/en/first-interrail-tour/f3303
