Do hostels provide showers or laundry? If not are there public laundromats & showers in France/Italy/Germany?

Hi.
All hostels offer showers. Hostels are like hotels.
In the big stations you will also find public showers for some Euros.
Most hostels have washing machines - but you will also find them in the cities.
On a 1 month InterRail trip I always have clothes for a period of 1 week with me. After 1 week I wash everything - in most cases in a hostel.

Hi.

Some high quality night trains in Western Europe have showers. But only if you have a 2-bed or 1-bed sleeper compartment.
So do not really count on it.

Most Western-European stations have a really clean shower facilities for about EUR 1-5.

In Eastern Europe simply stay at a hostel with a dorm which you can get for EUR 10-12.

Also good is to go to a simple public swimming pool, as you have lockers there and of course: showers.

Peter :)

Hello,

I just arrived from my Interrail trip (Italy, Greece, Bulgary and Croatia) and in Rome Termini Station, Athens station, Thessaloniki station and Sofia station there is NOT a shower. In Zagreb train station there's a good shower inside the toilets for +/- 7 euros (45 Kuna).

Hope it help...
