Do trains in Germany/France/Italy have a number or a destination written on them? In Bulgaria it is very hard to find the right train and you often have to walk around asking people...

It is no problem to find the correct train.
All trains have signs with their destinations and stops.
Also you will find even at smaller stations at the platforms automatic signs showing the information for the next train, the times, the destination and so on.
Very comfortable. :)
