I know that statistically most Europeans have some knowledge of English, but I am still kind of worried about communicating (asking for directins/help) with conductors and other personnel... Will English and some questionable Spanish get me by in Germany, France & Italy?

Thanks -Alex

Hi Alex.

Most of the Europeans (especially the younger ones) speak English.
Never had any problems.
And you still have some hands with which you can talk. As well an experience - nothing can be perfect to 100%.

Peter :)
