just wondering if we're budgeting right and haven't made any massive mistakes in our planning. me and my girlfriend going, first time interrailing!

we're budgeting £1,100 for everything each, including a 22 day interrail pass (the cheaper one with 10 days travelling), flight to prague (about £70 for both of us), eurostar or flight back to london, ferry to greece, and hostels/living costs on top of that.

quick questions! would it we better to get a flight or a eurostar back to london, would it be better to get a proper 22 day pass, what would we need to budget for food/accomodation etc., if we'd need more money, if our route is realistic, anything else.

thanks for all the help! really appreciate it.

Hi.

First: Athens is a bit fare away from your route. Do you want to travel to Athens and back both times by ferry Italy-Greece?
Or without a ferry from Croatia via Belgrade, Sofia to Athens?

Check the country topics for details:

It might be cheaper to get a flight back to London, as Eurostar is expensive - if you know your exact day traveling back to the UK, you can book the Eurostar in advance and get cheap special fares. Read here:
https://rail.cc/en/paris-london-eurostar/f1806

Do your calculation like this PER DAY and PER PERSON:

- accommodation: EUR 25
- food: EUR 5
- extras: EUR 5
- beer: EUR 5
TOTAL per day and per person: EUR 40

22 days X 40 EUR = 800-900 EUR per person

It is only an example, but I always calculate like this.

Peter :)
