Hi there

A couple of friends and I are going inter-railing at the end of June, and like most people, we want to keep down the costs so that means as few supplements as possible! I was wondering about the following route and trains and see if there'll be any unexpected surprises we had'nt been planning for

Frankfurt - Dresden ICE

Dresden - Prague (This ones a bit tricky)
Its kind of an overnight route with a bit of waiting and a few changes
Dresden - Zittau RE 17037
Zittau - Liberec Os 6021
Liberec - Turnov R 983
Turnov - Prague R 1137

Prague - Vienna EC
We expect a 7€ supplement on this one?

Vienna - Budapest RJ

Budapest - Belgrade D 341
This is an overnight train

Belgrade - Thessaloniki D 335
Another night train

Theesaloniki - Athens IC

Athens - Patras IC

Patras - Bari by ferry

Bari - Naples IC, E

Naples - Rome ES

Thanks!

Hi.

Supplements like this (if I don't mention one of your connections, it is free):

Dresden-Prague: use a free EC train (the ones going from Berlin to Prague). It is a travel time of 2 hours.

Prague-Vienna: EC - EUR 7 supplement

Free connection:
Praha hl.n. Dep: 1239 | free IC train
Breclav Arr: 1557

Breclav Dep: 1625 | free Regional train
Wien Praterstern Arr: 1745

Budapest-Belgrade:

Belgrade-Thessaloniki:

Theesaloniki-Athens:
Attention as Greece IC trains may have high supplements. Ask before in Thessaloniki for the cheapest option.

Athens-Patras:

Italy:
Pay attention to the supplements. Often you will find free IC connections. Avoid the Eurostar trains in Italy (supplement EUR 10).

I hopet this will help you planing your trip.
