Flying to munich then travelling to ljubljana, zagreb, belgrade, budapest(no nights), bratislava, krakow, prague, berlin, amsterdam. Getting a 10 day travel in 22 days ticket and hoping to get night trains for every travel.

Wanted to know if the route was ok and whether we should consider taking a place or two out? The gap from leaving Munich to arriving in Amsterdam will be 22 days exactly and flights are booked for the 25th June to the 22nd July.

With night trains will we need to book before we travel, for example before we leave England. Or do we need to just pay a bit at the station.

Any tips for this would be god too as we are first timers.

Thanks

Hi.

Have a look at the country topics here at the forum . There you will find all the night train information you need.

And always keep in mind the rule for night trains. Very nice and will help you saving travel days:

Concerning reservations: I recommend you to buy reservations for the night trains always some days in advance. As in summer the trains get easily full. Normally it is no problem to buy a reservation for a night train just one day before departure - but in July this might be very hard to get a free seat or bed.
For no one of the night trains you could use, you can make an online reservation.

But as you start in Munich, it is excellent for you as it shouldn't be a problem to buy most of the reservations there at the main station.

Peter :)
