Hey!

I want to interrail in Scotland this summer. now I'd like to know if the jacobite (a steam train from fort william to mallaig) is included in the interrail ticket or if a train included run the same way. Can somebody help me? I read that this trip would be really awesome. Has somebody done this already? Is it worth it?
Thanks!!

Hi!

The Jacobite isnt included in InterRail, but ScotRail operates a service on this route. :) There are four trains running between Fort William and Mallaig, three of them start at Glasgow. Also, there is the London - Fort William sleeper service with might be worth considering.
The route itself is really beautiful and spectacular, I havent been there yet but have seen stunning pictures. So if you have the time to go there it's definitely worth it.
