Hi,

I have finally got a route together and I wondered if it was a good route or you would bump some places off for others!!

London-Berlin (fly)
Berlin-Prague (validate pass to start in berlin)
Prague-Munich
Munich-Vienna
Vienna-Bratislava (Just for the day)
Bratislava-Budapest
Budapest-Zagreb
Zagreb-Ljubljana
Ljubljana-Venice
Venice-Milan
Milan-Nice
Nice-Marseilles
Marseilles-Barcelona
Barcelona-Paris

I was wondering if Lake Bled is worth going to as well? But is the connection to Italy not good?

Also is this too much for 22 days? I guess it will be very quick and I will just relax in Berlin at the beginning and Paris at the end!

Thank you

Jess

Hi Jess.

It is not too much for 22 days. Better to have some more places planed to visit and then skipping some during your trip.
Lake Bled is definitely nice to see and also to stay. I also recommend to stay in Nice and having from there day trips to Cannes, Monaco, Marseilles...

Berlin-Prague: https://rail.cc/en/berlin-prague-train/f3361

Prague-Munich: by day train. If you want, have a stop in Nürnberg - a really nice town on your way.

Munich-Vienna: I recommend to use a direct and free day train like for example the Railjet trains.

Vienna-Bratislava: https://rail.cc/en/vienna-bratislava-train/f4055

Bratislava-Budapest: https://rail.cc/en/bratislava-budapest-train/f3973

Budapest-Zagreb: https://rail.cc/en/budapest-zagreb-train/f4053

Zagreb-Ljubljana: https://rail.cc/en/zagreb-ljubljana-train/f3919

Ljubljana-Venice: https://rail.cc/en/ljubljana-venice-train/f3663
or: https://rail.cc/en/ljubljana-venice-night-train/f1388

Venice-Milan: avoid the expensive Eurostar Italia trains (supplement of EUR 10), use free IC trains. For example:
Venezia Santa Lucia Dep: 0858
Milano Centrale Arr: 1125

Milan-Nice: use a direct and free IC train to the border (Ventimiglia) - there you change to a free Regional train directly to Nice.

Nice-Marseilles: free Regional train

Marseilles-Barcelona: https://rail.cc/en/nice-marseilles-barcelona-train/f3420

Barcelona-Paris:
Travel via the Pyrenees - really amazing nature and a cool roller-coaster train:

The direct night train is expensive: https://rail.cc/en/barcelona-paris-night-train/f1040

Have a sunny trip - and if you like the help and all the information here at our forum, support it and purchase your official InterRail pass at [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
Thank you, Peter :)

If anyone reads this I have just booked my flights to Berlin which is where I will start my pass, it was only £15 from London Stansted! They have a sale at Ryan Air so snap them up fast its such a bargain!

Also, I will be in Berlin from 29th July-2nd August, anyone else be there then? Would be great to meet up with people for drinks or whatever while I am there!
