Hi again!
The InterRail-website says that with a InterRailGlobal-pass it's free to travel with S-bahn (suburban metro railway network in Vienna and other cities in Austria), on the Extra InterRail Pass Discounts-page.
I'm the holder of a 10 days within 22 days Global-pass, and i'm wondering if i have to use one of my traveldays on this free journey, or is it enough just to show the pass (within its valid timeperiod), and i can travel with suburban metro-railworks like S-bahn ((and other discounted methods of travel, mentioned on the interrail website) for free, without using any of my traveldays ?
Thank you!
- K

Hi.
The best is to ask at the place where you got the information from -as we are not the support of them. ;)
If you want to use S-Bahn, you have to use as well a travel day. In most cases a day-pass for the public transportation services of a city is the best solution.

Just like Peter said, you have to use a travel day for the S-Bahn. I dont know why they mention it under Extra Pass Benefits as those S-Bahn lines are regular trains operated by ÖBB. :|
However, if you get a ticket for the urban transport systems in Wien, Graz, etc... you can use S-Bahn as well within the zone your ticket is valid. Just ask if you have more questions about this. ;)
