Why do I have to give my N° of passport while I am born in European Union and I just travel in the European Union?

Hi.

Your number of passport for the InterRail ticket purchase?
Or for a reservation of a special supplement on a special train?

For the InterRail pass it is normal as it is a personal ticket. The name and passport number are needed to make it possible for the train staff to compare the ticket data to your passport to see that you are the holder of the ticket.

It was for the purchase. Thanks.
So you're telling me that I have to take my passport with me during my trip for the control.

You can also use your IDcard - and the IDcard number on your InterRail ticket.
It doesn't matters. :)

You should have your passport/ID with you anyway - even if travelling in the Schengen/EU area.
