Hey folks,
Just wondering if anyone could help us out. Me and my mate are doing the whole Europe tour and currently have a 22 day pass in the mail on it's way but have yet to buy the other one (as we're going for roughly two months). Now, reason being is because we wanted to see how our money coped within the first 22 days and if it was easy, we'd buy another 22 pass or a month. If we were tight on money, we'd perhaps buy the smaller passes.
Our problem however is we're not entirely sure where else you can buy the passes par the internet. In England, you can't buy it at any train station and it must be done over the internet. Is this the same for all countries? We were hoping to maybe pass by, let's say, Austria and by then buy another ticket from somewhere close. Although if it can only be done over the internet, then we're a bit stuck. So do any train stations sell them? Doesn't matter which country, or will we have to purchase it here, have it sent to us and have it activated 22 days into our trip?
Thanks, Harry
*Just to add, I did browse other posts, and am quite new to the forum thing, and haven't seen a question like this. If it's answered elsewhere, a link would be appreciated =)

I think if i'm not mistaken that you have to buy it in your country of residence.
Maybe you could order one whilst your out there and have a parent or friend mail it to you when it arrived.
The only other way I could see you getting past it is to buy 2 passes before you leave and set the date to your 2nd pass to the day your 1st one runs out.
Again, i might be mistaken about being able to buy it in other countries.

Hi!
That's true, in the UK you cant buy the IR ticket at any train station. In most other countries you can (Actually, I cant think of any other country than the UK where you cant buy it at a station). :)
Just take care that you take your passport/ID with you when you purchase the ticket at a counter of a station. And check if everything is filled in correctly (Name, Passport number, Country of residence) before you pay.
If you want to support our railcc project, buy it online in our partner. Thank you.

Thanks a lot for your help guys.
Mark, if you're not mistaken, it would be safe to have it delivered to another country, we did think about that as a possibility. However, because this trip is slightly more spontaneous rather than planned, we're not quite sure where we'd be exactly when the ticket runs out, or anywhere close to where we expected. I'll look up on it more and if you're right, we'll make some quick changes and plan it better I think lol 8)
The answer I was hoping for, Flo. Yeah we'll have all our forms of ID with us and with tta we'd be aiming for a big international station (rather than a smaller one) in pursuit to grabbing our ticket. I'm guessing it'll be around the same price?

I'd go with what flo said :D
You guys thought about where you're heading yet?
I had the idea of grabbing two passes aswell and taking my time. I'm leaving England beginning July and if you're hitting up any of eastern europe at that time it'd be cool to meet fellow travellers and head out British style.

Hi!
Just to be sure, do you have any information if it's also possible to buy the interrail ticket from Warsawa main railway station? We are travelling from Tallinn, Estonia by bus to Warsawa and really would not like to be stuck there...
Thank you

Hi Laura.
Yes it is possible.
But we recommend to order online via [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] . Then you support our work and project and not only an anonymous company. :)
Have a sunny trip, Peter :)

Thank you for the answer! Unfortunately we don't have credit cards, so buying online is more complicated for us. Hopefully we'll find a solution:)
