Hi,
I'm asking this in this topic continuing from my post in Austria.
I'm from Copenhagen and am planning two trips in the coming weeks, the first one to Italy (Starting May 13) and the next to Switzerland (May 22 start). I'm a little confused with which Pass to take. Initially I thought of buying a 10 day global pass that one can use within 22 days with which I can travel in this week to Italy and the next weekend to Swiss. But I can see from the timetable that I need to book the reservation for most of the trains in Italy and in some trains in Swiss like the Glacier express.
Now, I am not sure if I should buy the Swiss pass that is valid for 4 days in Swiss and then use a 5 day global Interrail Pass to use in Italy and the travel to Swiss from Copenhagen. This is because it seems the Swiss card is valid for many of the sightseeings also. Could someone please suggest which is the best for my plan ? Has anyone used the Swiss Pass earlier ?
Also, I tried looking at the price for Glacier express for Passholders. It seems half of the journey can be covered with the pass and we have to pay for the remaining half. I tried looking at their website but could not find out how much it will cost for the second half. Does anyone know this amount ? Please let me know.
Thanks.

Hi.
There are really good offers available (as long as you book in advance) for the direct night train Denmark-Switzerland:

If you can not get these special offers think about the 5 in 10 IR pass. You can make use of the rule for night trains:

And you will save a lot of money especially for crossing Germany.
The Glacier Express is not included in InterRail as it is a special scenic private rail company. More details here:
