Hi,
We're Russian Federation passport holders, but we've got Australian working visa which is valid till 2012 and we have been living in Australia for 1,5 years. We are going to visit Europe this August and thinking to buy a Rail Pass. I've been told that we have to be Australian Permanent Residents to buy a Eurail Pass so that we can’t use it, from the other side we haven't been to Russia more than 6 months. Which rail pass we should buy?
Thank you very much for your help!
Lena

Hi Lena.
As you live the last 1,5 years in Australia, you normally should be allowed to buy an Eurail pass.
But the reality is: with your Russian passport you are European and no train staff will understand, why you travel with Eurail.
So in your case: buy an InterRail pass with your Russian passport.

All the best, Peter :)
