Hi,
I'm going interrailing with 2 friends during August, starting off with getting the overnight ferry from Hull-Zeebrugge and starting off in Bruges. We were thinking of having the day in Bruges then getting the overnight train to Berlin as it looks a fair distance. Is this (a) possible? (b) the best way of travelling between the 2 cities?
Thanks!
Peter

Hi.
I would add one city to this route. Either Cologne, Amsterdam or Paris. As there is no direct night train from Bruges to Berlin.
It's a route with some changes.
1
Brugge Dep: 1658 | free IC train
Liège-Guillemins Arr: 1900

Aachen Hbf Arr: 2024
Aachen Hbf Dep: 2051 | free Regional train
Köln Hbf Arr: 2144
In Cologne you will find the famous Kölner Dom (a really huge church) directly in front of the main station. So even 15 minutes will be good to just have a look on it.

Berlin Hbf Arr: 0421
Arriving early in the morning in Berlin Hbf (=main station) is no problem. Just have a walk of 10 minutes and you will be in front of the Reichstag (German parliament) and Brandenburger Tor. Really fantastic to see it early in the morning without any other tourists!
