Hello

I'm trying to find a connection between Bern and Paris on June 16th, 2010

Ideally I'd like to arrive at Paris Est, or Gare Du Nord - which are closer to my accomodation in Paris.

I've found a direct train to Paris Lyon with a €5 reservation fee. I'm happy to pay the fee for a direct/faster journey, but I'd prefer to travel in to Paris Est or Gare Du Nord, as I do not know how to get from Paris Lyon to my accomodation!

There's a train from Bern to Basel on that day - an ICE train. At Basel I can pick up a train to Paris Est.

Does anyone know how much a suuplement is for this ICE train from Bern to Basel ? ?

I hope someone can help!

Hi Natalie.

The ICE Bern to Basel is free.

If you want, let me know in which corner (or the closest metro station) it is... then I can give you the metro line on how to get there the easiest way. :)

Hi!

Arriving at Gare de l'Est:

Metro 4 (purple) in direction of Porte de Clignancourt - two stops, change at Barbès Rochechouart for Metro 2 (dark blue) in direction of Porte Dauphine - one stop, leave at Anvers.
Head south over Place d'Anvers and you'll enter Rue Rodier. From the station it's a ~250m walk.

Arriving at Gare de Lyon:

Metro 1 (yellow) in direction of Chateau de Vincennes - two stops, change at Nation for Metro 2 (dark blue) in direction of Porte Dauphine - 13 stops, leave at Anvers.
Head south over Place d'Anvers and you'll enter Rue Rodier. From the station it's a ~250m walk.

This includes a first short sightseeing tour as the Metro 2 runs a short section overground. :)
