Hello,
I was reading interrail map and was unable to figure out a few things.
1. The red dots.... means that interrail gives 50% discount on these scenic routes. However, if i do not take scenic trains, can i travel of regional trains for free on these routes. For instance from Brig to Andermatt.
2. What does the red legend with dashes ----means. Is this the same as dots ... I could not find a legend explaining it.
3. What does the white circles covered by red line imply. Forexample, there is a circle between geneva and genva airport.
4. Are there any free cable ways covered by interrail pass. The map says the black line ___ denotes free cableway. BUt i could not find any line on the map.
Looking forward for your reply.
Cheers!

Hi.
I am not sure about which map you are talking, but I can imagine. The best is always to ask the support from the website you got the map from.
To help you a little bit:
1) You will also have to pay for regional trains on this route - as the complete route is from a private railway company. Read for example here:
https://rail.cc/en/glacier-express/f1750
2) The small red dots are the private rail lines with reduction. The long red dots (more lines than dots) are tunnels crossing mountains.
3) These are important train stations.
4) As much as I know there are no free cableways. InterRail is a rail ticket of the national railway companies. Private companies (like for example cable ways are extra. By the way: reductions on cableways are a bonus - as like I said we speak about a rail ticket - not a ferry, bus or cableways ticket). :)
