Hello,

I´ve been living in Enlgand for 6 months. My family will come in July and we will be traveling around Europe. We already booked our ticket London-Paris on July 3rth (start) and Berlin-London on July 26th (end) -- due to they have the to fly back home on June 27th--. As I´ve been living in Europe for more than 6 months I will buy the INTERRAIL GLOBAL PASS, and my family the RAIL GLOBAL PASS, both with 10 days in 22 Days. I am writing below the places that we have decided to visit and the time that we want to spend in each place.

In the case of Italy and Greece I want to ask if with the Global Pass (INTERRAIL AND RAILPASS) is included the modality of Greece Plus? in order to take a ferry from Italy to Greece. I am thinking to fly from Greece to Croatia or to somewhere in the north and then continue with the other countries by train.

Basically I need your help to work out how much extra money we will be paying (if that is the case), and also I really need your help to plan our departure time, the stations of departure and the stations of arrival in each place and if its a direct train or not, because in this time I´ve had troubles looking for that information in the website.

ARRIVAL TIME (WANTED)
JULIO SAB 3 PARIS (AM)
DOM 4 PARIS
LUN 5 PARIS-MADRID (NIGHT TRAIN)
MAR 6 MADRID
MIER 7 MADRID-MILAN OR VENICE (NIGHT TRAIN)
JUE 8 VENICE
VIE 9 VENICE-PISA (AM)
SAB 10 PISA-FLORENCE (AM)
DOM 11 FLORENCE-ROME (PM)
LUN 12 ROME
MAR 13 ROME
MIER 14 ROME-GREECE (NIGTH FERRY)
JUE 15 ATHENS
VIE 16 ATHENS
SAB 17 ATHENS-DUBROVNIK (STIL NOT SURE WICH AIRPLANE TO SOMEWHERE IN THE NORTH)***
DOM 18 DUBROVNIK - LJUBLJIANA
LUN 19 LJUBLJANA
MAR 20 LJUBLJANA-VIENNA (PM)
MIER 21 VIENNA
JUE 22 VIENNA-PRAGUE (PM)
VIE 23 PRAGUE
SAB 24 PRAGUE-BERLIN (PM)
DOM 25 BERLIIN
LUN 26 BERLIN-LONDON (PM)

*** If I dont find an easy way to go to Dubrovnik from Athens I would like to go just to LJUBLJANA and continue to Vienna and the next countries. We are not really interested in Sofia and Belgrado (and we do not have enough time)

Thank you very much for your kind assistance and I will be waiting for your comments

Best regards!!

Victor

Hi Victor.

The ferry Italy to Greece is included in the InterRail Global Pass 10 in 22:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-ferry/italy/it

But Greece is really fare away from your whole route - especially I am sure that there will be some strikes this summer in Greece concerning their financial status within Europe ... the Greece railway company is often in strike.

Concerning the station names, times, etc. just use the schedule planer. There everything is listed. The best way is to just use it, as I really can't list all hundreds of possibilities here. ;)
https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route

The trip you and your family want to do is a long one. As you are not traveling alone, I would try to get the reservations for night trains as early as possible, as it seems that you know all your travel days. Some you can buy online, others directly at a station (you can try it in Paris already):
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation

Most routes you want to travel are listed at the country topics:
https://rail.cc/en/countries

For example Paris-Madrid: https://rail.cc/en/paris-madrid-night-train/f1133
Then continue by day train from Madrid to Barcelona, from there you can use a direct night train (expensive) to Italy:
https://rail.cc/blog/little-yellow-train-video/
https://rail.cc/en/train/barcelona-to-milan

In Italy day trains will be the best solution for you.
If you skip Athens, cross the border to Slovenia this way:
https://rail.cc/en/venice-ljubljana-train/f3664

Dubrovnik is not connected to the rail network, you will have to travel there by bus. First by train to Split, then continue by bus.

All other connections for the night trains you can use at the country topics like mentioned above.

I hope all this will help you planing your tour.
Peter :)
