Hi, I'm hoping to start my interrail on May 26th, but because of the volcanic eruption here in Iceland you never know when it is possible to fly. And if there is no flight for a few days, can I get a refund on my interrail pass? Since I have to choose what day I will start when I order the pass it is not worth it to fly out a few days later because that shortens the trip :|

Hi.

The general rule for getting an Interrail pass refunded is like this:
You can only get it refunded before the first valid day of your pass.
There is a fee of 20% you won't get refunded.
You can only refund your pass at the place where you bought it.

Thanks for this...

I noticed that you said the general rule, does that mean that a refund might be possible in certain circumstances that don't match this general rule?? Because I don't know whether there is a flight until the day I will be departing. If there's a delay for 1 or 2 days it's no big deal, but if it will be any longer, I wont know until after the first valid day... :|

Maybe there's an exception for uncontrollable circumstances like volcanoes?? :D

No ... there is no special volcano-rule... ;)
I only wanted to say: if the delivery to Island isn't possible in time by express DHL service, the ticket office will refund you the ticket for free - or simply won't sent it to you and inform you in time.
But if you can't leave Island because of the volcano, it is not the problem of an European rail company.
