Hey guys,
Just about to book my ticket and I'm wondering whether I should get a 15day consecutive pass or a 10 day flexi pass. I'm going to Italy and I have 11 destinations which make 10 travel days. However, the 10 day pass cuts it a bit tight, in case something happens along the way. The 15day pass would be better, but the title 15day CONSECUTIVE pass makes me think that the days must be consecutive, like my last travel day must be 15 days after my first. If this is the case then the 15day pass is no good to me. Is that how it works? What would you recommend I do?
Thanks guys
Peter

Hi.
10 days in 22 InteRail Flexi Pass: you select the starting date of your pass. From this date you have a time scale of 22 days within you select 10 days free of choice. Just fill them in manually in your ticket whenever you need them.
There is as well a good solution concerning night trains:

15 days continuous InterRail Global Pass: you fix the starting date of your pass when you purchase it. From this date you have 15 days in a row.
In most cases the 10 in 22 is the cheaper solution - bet it depends on your travel plans.
I hope this answer will help you and if you want to support our work here at the forum, support it and buy your official InterRail pass via [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
Thank you. Peter :)

Thanx peter!
Also, if i were to buy an 8 day one country pass to Italy would I still be able to avail of the 1900 rule? Is there any difference between the one country pass and the global pass besides the fact that with the one country pass you can't cross borders?

Hi!
No, I'm not aware of any other differences between One Country and Global passes and yes, the 1900-rule also applies to the One Country passes. :)

Thanx!
Just one more thing, sorry for not knowing anything!!
With the one country pass how do my travel days get filled in? Do i put the ticket through a machine when i board a train or does a ticket collector do it or do i actually just fill it in myself as i travel around??

You have to enter the date (day and month) in your IR pass yourself - before boarding the first train on that day! :)
