I would like to travel from Paris to Madrid in July. Because the direct nighttrain elipsos is too expensive for me, i want to take the cheaper nighttrain from the french railway and then from the border by irun to Madrid by normal trains. I saw now that there is a pretty fast train from Irun to Madrid with changing in Pamplona. This one would leave in Irun at 8am, what would be perfect.
But now the problem, this train is just in the schedule until 12 June. After this date there is just one in the evening, arriving very late in Madrid.
So my question, is there another possibilitie or do i have to wait a whole day in Irun?
Why do they finish this train in June in the high season?
Thank you for the answers.

Hi Adrian.
Have a look at this topic and scroll down to find the cheap solution:

The connection you selected is only available until the 12th as on this date there is a change to the summer timetables.
Normally there are no big changes, the trains are simply not listed in the database until now. So you can count on your connection running as well after the 12th.

Thank you Peter for your fast answer.
So i am looking forward that there will be a train :D
But why is it like that, that the train in the evening is already in the schedule and that in the morning isn't for the july?
And when do they update the schedule for the new timetable?

A good question ... it is like that... some are already in the database, some not.
Maybe have a look directly at the website of the train company: renfe.es

It's the same on renfe.es
Until June 12th there are to train Irun-Pamplona:
00533 ALVIA leaving irun 08.00 arriving pamplona 10.01 duration: 2 h. 01 min. and
00537 ALVIA leaving irun 16.00 arriving pamplona 17.55 duration: 1 h. 55 min.
After June 12th there is only the one in the afternoon listed:
00537 ALVIA leaving irun 16.00 arriving pamplona 17.55 duration: 1 h. 55 min.

That's true. But I simply can't get you more information than the ones given by the schedule databases. :o

Every time I have visited Spain, I have found substantial changes in the Madrid levitra train station such as locations of ticket windows, information desk, and even how you go about boarding trains.
