Hello.
A friend of mine and myself want to go Inter-railing around the UK in the middle of July. (Simply because our holidays are placed at that time.)
We're both 17 (male and female), so I wanted to ask if it's possible to get hostel reservations anywhere, since we don't have a guardian that is above 18? And if so, would it be able to be in a mixed dorm, so we don't have to split up all the time?
Hope you can help :) .

Hey
Have seen some hostels with mixed dorms and some without. In those without should it be possible to have a room just for yourself, but don't forget then to reservate in advance... and it will be more expensive.
I don't know where you're from, but just in case you're from the UK: the interrail-ticket isn't valid in your country of residence!

We're currently residents of Denmark, so we'll be able to use the pass in UK, but thanks for the concern :) .
But does anybody know if there's a restriction or an age limit at hostels? It'd suck quite bad if they wouldn't accept us unless we're 18 :P

I don't think that there's an restriction for all hostels, it will be quite sure different from hostel to hostel..
I've been in Amsterdam last week and this was over 18, while the hostel in Paris had no restriction (if i'm right). Well, the kingdom must have everything a bit different, so i'm not sure about that over there..
Maybe should you plan your route in advance and check if there are some hostels for you to reach..

Like TheFratellis said - some are restricted some not. If one of you both is 18 or older, you won't have problems.
