Hi.
Think about this route:
Rome - Paris - Amsterdam - Berlin - Prague - Budapest
It should be easy to reach Italy by a lowcost airline.
The same for your way back. Either end your tour in Krakow (Poland - really nice city) or in Bratislava (close to Vienna and Budapest) where you have as well the famous lowcost airlines.
Doing the journey like mentioned above, you can use some night trains:
Rome-Paris (night): https://rail.cc/en/rome-florence-paris-night-train/f1454
Paris-Amsterdam (day): https://rail.cc/en/train/paris-to-amsterdam
Amsterdam-Berlin (day or night): https://rail.cc/en/amsterdam-berlin-train/f2346
Berlin-Prague (day): https://rail.cc/en/berlin-prague-train/f3361
Prague-Budapest (night): https://rail.cc/en/prague-budapest-train/f1468
I hope this will help planing your tour. And don't forget... if you like the forum and the help, support it and buy your official InterRail pass via [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] ... thank you. :)

Generally how long do you guys spend in each city?
Im going for 22 days so i was to finish in poland 7 countries. Is three days in each about right? Or should i drop one?

I prefer 2 or 3 nights per city. Depends of course on the city and what I want to do there. Avoid staying only 1 night in a city, it might get stressful then - except you want to make as lot cities as possible. ;)

Thanks for th help peter, would you reccommend I travel
from Budapest to krackow and fly home from Poland?
That will be 7 cities in 22days! Is this enough time?
As I'm goig to be staying 3days in each city should I get the 22days continuous or get the 10 in 22days travel ticket?

If you get a cheap flight from Krakow back home, do it.
Budapest-Krakow: https://rail.cc/en/budapest-krakow-night-train/f3304
7 cities in 22 days is definitely okay. :)
The 10 in 22 days InterRail Global Pass will be the best choice for you. As you don't travel every day: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
There is as well a nice rule for night trains - then you loose only ONE of your travel days:

Thanks again peter, I think i will go the route you have said, flying to rome and starting there and finishing in krakow and flying home from there. Thats 7 cities in 22days so hopefully i will have enough time to do everything in each city.
Im looking to sleep in hostels and sleep in night trains when possible to save travcelling long distances through the day.
For my route which trains will i need to pay a supplement? And will the trains need to be booked in advance?
When choosing which hostles to stay in, do you look for a cheap one with good reviews? Or one near the train station?
If possible could you reccommend any if you have been in the citites i have listed? Shouls i book all the hostles in advance also?
Could you reccommend any good things to do in each city if you have any experience? Im not sure what to do in each i would just like to travel and see euopre but would be great if you would reccommend worth while things to see or do to make my trip worth while. Thanks for the help i will buy my ticket here to support the site

hi.
concerning details about hostels and cities where I stayed: I am just at the final lines of code programming a new version of this site. There you will find more information. Online in maybe two weeks. :)
hostels: book them online, some days in advance ... if you want a special one.
I always go for good rated ones... it is more important than a poor one beside the station.
Supplements are all listed if you click the links. It depends on the category of bed you want.
You can book some online: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation
Rome-Paris and Amsterdam-Berlin should be possible. Otherwise you will have to buy the supplements at a station. If you know your exact travel dates, buy them as early as possible.
Amsterdam should be a good station to buy the supplements for Eastern Europe.
