I have just returned from Dresden, where I wanted to buy reservations for my interrail tour to France. The lady in Reisezentrum was able to make only one of 14 reservations (TGVs, Corail Luneas) I needed. Corail Lunea trains aren't even in HAFAS at the moment. Is there any other possibility, how to obtain them outside France? Do you think, that the night trains will be full in May, or will I be able to make a seat reservation in France before departure? Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi!

Sad to hear that... If you are travelling during Pentecost, trains are likely to be full, so I can only advise to try again and get the reservations in advance. Interesting that the Lunéa aren't in HAFAS currently... :o Maybe due to the current strike?
Another hint I could give is to go to the counter already with the train numbers (and enter them directly into the reservation mask), that sometimes helped when I needed reservations. You could also try to get online reservations like it is described here: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/tgv-sncf/42 That may not be 100% official but it is worth a try (especially if you rely on certain connections and for the Lunéa connections if you are travelling in the sleeperette because then prices are the same).

I'd be glad to hear how it works out for you. :)

Hello flow
If you are travelling during Pentecost, trains are likely to be full
unfortunately, one of the night jumps is on the night from Friday to Saturday before Pentecost :(

I think, it has nothing to do with the strike. They aren't there since March.

This is exactly, what I did. The result was, these trains do not exist.

OK, I will inform you about the results.

Hum...did you cross-check with the info you get on sncf.fr?

I made reservations for France in February and it worked well...from Austria and from Spain. :| Maybe try at another station etc...but I guess you already tried that.

Then maybe try to get online reservations for a least the most important connections.
