Hey,

Besides common sense stuff like weapons and so on, are there restrictions on carrying stuff in trains? For example, now a days airports don't allow people to carry with them

Lighters
Toothpaste
Mouthwash
Perfumes and Colognes
All creams, lotions, sunscreens, first-aid creams, moisturizers and hand lotions
Shaving Creams
Hair Style Gels
Hair Spray (any kind)
Hair Strengthener or Detanglers
Mascara
Liquid Foundations (Make-up)
Make-up Remover or Face Cleanser
Nail Polish and Nail Polish Removers
Liquid Soaps
Liquid Sanitizers
Gel Deodorants
Spray Deodorants
Gel Cap Pills
Lips Gels, glosses or liquids (including Carmex)
Gel Shoe Inserts
Bubble Bath, including gels, oils, moisturizers and liquid filled bath balls
Gel candles
Bug Spray
Children's toys or figurines with gel inside
Baby teethers with liquid or gel

Hi!

There are luggage controls similar to those on airports in Spain for all long-distance journeys. However, the rules are not that strict as for flights - forbidden are obviously harmful objects like guns, explosives, knifes etc... ;)
A rather strict security check is carried out before bording Eurostar services of course.

In general, dangerous objects like explosives, guns etc are forbidden to carry with you on all trains but there are no restrictions to objects mentioned in your list.
