I am travelling europe until mid may, however i have an interrail ticket for the full month, so if i go home early on say the 15th of may, will i be able to get any money back for the unused half of my ticket? thanks for any help

No, sorry, that's not possible. You can only refund InterRail ticket before the first day of validity.
