Hi, how are you? I was looking to do the following as I start in Vienna and finish in Istanbul - my route so far seems interesting but I think there maybe a better way round it...I would love to see all these places but I can change some if there are better ways of doing it. Would be very grateful for feedback and any ideas :) Thanks.

Im interested to see your route... I'm planning something similar, only starting from the UK but then getting to Vienna & from there to Istanbul. I should arrive in Vienna around the end Apr / beg May & need to get to Istanbul on 12th May. You seem a lot more organised than me! ... I havent started to look at train times etc! So, cant offer any tips or anything! But am also interested to hear peoples thoughts?! I too what could be a good route from Vienna to Istanbul

Hi Jo, Im flying out from the UK too - departing 4th May to Vienna and my flight back from Istanbul on the 19th May. I went onto Europerail.co.uk to get the times etc for the trains. I think mine is a failry good route becase it includes the coutries I want to see but at the same time someone else might be able to offer a better or faster route round :) Whats your route like?

Your trip sounds great, I'm hoping to do it slighly differently & miss out Prague / Krakow (mainly as Ive been to Krakow a couple of times before & like you, too much to see & too little time!) so, am hoping to fit in Venice,
I'm getting the Eurostar to Paris & then heading down to switzerland. Was thinking of something along the lines of:
A stop in Switzerland
Venice
Ljubljana
Vienna
Budapest
Bucharest
Sofia / other stop in Bulgaris
Isanbul

I leave on the 25th April, & have a flight back from Istanbul on 15th May. Two of my friends are flying out to Istanbul on 12th May so I need to get there then!
