and Brussels.

Those are the cities I now have picked out to visit on interrail.
This is my first time though and some advice and confirmation would be nice. I'm planning to do it in 30 days, and a bit over 3 days per city should be enough. Of course there's also a lot of travel time.
From Bucharest-Madrid is a long way, is it to much or ?
And about the route. I'm leaving from Odense, Denmark - any good advices about the best way around ?

I'm hoping for some responses :)

Hi.

Odense is in the middle of Denmark, so I think it doesn't matters if you travel via Copenhagen or via Hamburg to leave Denmark:
https://rail.cc/en/how-to-interrail

From Copenhagen you have the option by night train via Malmö to Berlin, or by day train to Hamburg:
https://rail.cc/en/berlin-night-express-sweden-berlin/f1186

Just an example of a possible route: Odense - Berlin/Hamburg - Prague - Warszawa - Bucharest - Budapest - Vienna - Amsterdam - Brussels - Paris - Madrid

Hamburg-Berlin by day train ICE.
Berlin-Prague: https://rail.cc/en/berlin-prague-train/f3361

Prague-Warszawa: https://rail.cc/en/prague-warsaw-night-train/f1443

Think about adding KRAKOW: definitely worth.

Warszawa-Bucharest (you will have to travel via Budapest):
https://rail.cc/en/warsaw-budapest-night-train/f4263
https://rail.cc/en/budapest-bucharest-night-train/f1605 - day trains are also possible.

Bucharest-Budapest: https://rail.cc/en/bucharest-budapest-night-train/f1606

Budapest-Vienna: https://rail.cc/en/budapest-vienna-munich-train-railje/f4070

Vienna-Amsterdam: to Munich by day train then: https://rail.cc/en/munich-amsterdam-night-train/f3746

Amsterdam-Brussels: https://rail.cc/en/amsterdam-brussels-train-thalys/f3991

Brussels-Paris: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/thalys/41

Paris-Madrid: https://rail.cc/en/paris-madrid-night-train/f1133

Think about the Petit Yellow Train in the Pyrenees!
https://rail.cc/en/petit-train-jaune-latour-de-carol/f1343

You will have to travel a lot, but it is definitely worth and an interesting route. Of course you can skip Berlin, Amsterdam and Paris ... I just mentioned them as they are on your way.
And don't forgett: if you want to support our project, buy your official InterRail pass at [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
Thank you ! :)

Thank you so much :)
This really helps alot.

The route could be Odense-Hamburg-Berlin-Prague-Krakow-Warsaw-Bratislava-Budapest-Bucharest-Vienna-Münich-Amsterdam-Brussels-Paris-Madrid.

This really is alot of cities, but places like Hamburg, Krakow,Bratislava,Münich and maybe Amsterdam or Brussels will probably only be 1 day.
Is it realistic to do it like this :) ? I really like that route, just don't hope it's too much.

And do you have any experience with Bucharest/Romania ? How safe is it ?

Hi.

It is realistic. And if you get in a hurry, just skip one or two of the cities. But you now have a rough route. :)
I stayed several times in Bucharest along my way to the South or coming back from Greece/Turkey. I did not felt unsafe. But never walked around in the middle of the night and it was always short stays. Mmmh... but I can't give you general advice, it's only my personal impression.

Peter :)
