I would like to know
1) how can I travel from Zagreb or Dubrovnik to Greece?
2) and how long will it take??

From Dubrovnik it's a bit trickier since there's no rail connection to the city. You could try to get to Montenegro by ferry or bus and then travel to Beograd by train to get one of the above mentioned connections. :)
I've listed several connections to get from Thessaloniki to Athens since the train from Beograd is likely to be delayed and only 20 minutes connection time are very tight. Also note that you might have to pay some additional supplements on certain trains (especially in Greece).
