Hi. I wonder what is the real difference between 1 and 2 class for SJs sleeping wagons. Is it really worth to pat dubble for a night sleep in 1 class?

Anyone that knows?

To answer this depends on whether you will be travelling alone, or with ONE other person or more than one other person.

1st class compartments have their own shower and toilet cubicle, plus breakfast if you don't get off too early. They are available as 1 or 2 bed. 2nd class compartments do not have private shower/toilet and you don't get breakfast. They are available as 3 bed or individual beds in a shared compartment (in which case a male+female pair would be in different compartments). There are also 2nd class couchette which are basic beds in shared compartments. It all depends on how far you travel and who with.
