Hey there,

I had planned a trip for a few months ago but, for several reasons, it fell apart. In a month or so I'm going to be leaving Sweden (where I'm studying abroad) and trying to get back to London. Originally my plan was to go Stockholm - Copenhagen - Brussels - London - Dublin but now (thanks to a wall-map I can't help messing about with) my plans have gone wildly out of control and I'm trying to figure out how to fit Prague, Krakow and Budapest in as well!

I have the first part figured out:
Stockholm - Goteburg - Copenhagen - Hamburg - Berlin.

I know the end has to go:
Paris/Brussels - London - Holyhead.

But it's the bit in the middle I'm really thinking about. I'm not sure if it's better to go Berlin - Prague - Krakow - Budapest or Berlin - Budapest (overnight train) - Krakow - Prague. Is there any way to go Prague to Paris/Brussels or, in other words, does anyone know how to link up the cities I want to go to with where I'm meant to be?

Thanks for any help.

Hi.

It really doesn't matter which way you travel in the middle of your tour.

You can use for all journeys night trains...
Just as examples:

1
Berlin-Prague: https://rail.cc/en/berlin-prague-train/f3361
Prague-Krakow: https://rail.cc/en/prague-krakow-night-train/f4027
Krakow-Budapest: https://rail.cc/en/krakow-budapest-night-train/f3305
Budapest-Paris: https://rail.cc/en/budapest-paris-train/f3669
https://rail.cc/en/budapest-london-train/f3967

2
Berlin-Budapest: https://rail.cc/en/berlin-budapest-night-train/f3359
Budapest-Krakow: https://rail.cc/en/budapest-krakow-night-train/f3304
Krakow-Prague: https://rail.cc/en/krakow-prague-night-train/f3847
Prague-Paris: https://rail.cc/en/prague-paris-train/f2402

Maybe a nice way back to the UK if you want to skip Paris is to travel from Prague to Amsterdam by night train:

Then by ferry from the Netherlands to the UK (Harwich):

Maybe one thing to add - but then you will skip Hamburg... the cheap and direct night train (using a ferry while you are sleeping) from Sweden to Berlin:

Yeah, I knew about the option of going direct to Berlin but I really want to see Hamburg. By the time I go interrailing I'll have been to Berlin already so it's meant more as a staging post between Hamburg and Prague. Thanks though! :)
