What would be the best way of travelling from Istanbul to the Crimea? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Hi!

In my current Thomas Cook timetable there are two connections from Istanbul by ferry:

Istanbul - Yevpatoriya (~24h)
and
Istanbul - Yalta (~30h)

Both are operated by Bumerang Shipping Company...unfortunately there are no further details written in the timetable.

Another ferry runs ~once weekly from Istanbul to Odessa, from where you could continue by train.

If you want to avoid the ferries and prefer to go around the Black Sea by train, best way is probably Istanbul - Sofiya/Bucuresti - Kiev - Sevastopol.
