Hey,
Like the subject states, I know the best option / only option really is to go by bus, but i would like some ideas...basically I need a stop point, somewhere to go perhaps for a day / night to visit, to break the journey up a bit, so suggestions on places i should go to, or miss out.

Mostar is cool. You could probably get a direct bus from Sarajevo to Sofia, although the train links in Bosnia are improving all the time so it might be worth a look into that
