Hello everyone,
I'm looking to travel in Germany, Austria and Croatia and am trying to weigh up if its cheaper to pay for individual tickets, one country passes or a global pass. If I buy a one country pass for Germany, can I use that ticket on the train from Berlin to Vienna? Or is it only a global pass you can use between 2 countries.
Thanks!

Hi,
You can use that ticket up to the German border on any train. From that point you have to pay normal Austrian fare. It makes sense if you're going, for instance, for Salzburg and Innsbruck only.
Which pass or ticket do you need - it all depends on your route. If you travel a lot in all those countries - you need global pass. If you travel a lot in one country and only 1-2 journeys in others - you probably need one country pass and individual tickets for others.

Wow, thanks for the quick response. I don't suppose you know the price of the train from Vienna to Zagreb do you? I can't seem to find an online price anywhere and that's a real deciding factor for me as to which pass I might need.
Thanks again!

I don't know the price... probably it's something around 40-50 euros, but it's a very rough estimation.
