Hey,

Can anyone tell me how much the fast train from berlin to hamburg would cost me with my interrail ticket? I know its free on the regional trains, just wondering what the supplement on the 2 hour fast train would be?

Cheers.

Hi richiebreno!

... and if you are interested in a more general overview which trains in Europe require you to buy an extra supplement you can have a look at https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation. Take it as a general rule that as long as your train is NOT listed there, you can use it for free with your Interrail ticket. (Provided your Interrail ticket is valid in the respective country of course. :D ) Hope this helps.

Considering Germany, the fast ICE highspeed trains are in general free (as Head already pointed out). There are only few exceptions – for example »ICE Sprinter« trains, which connect big cities without doing intermediate stops.
