Hi,
i want to go on a little journey this march. Our current plan is:
[list:3trnmz61]Frankfurt
Prague
Bratislava
Budapest
Zagreb
Ljubljana
Frankfurt[/list:u:3trnmz61]
Any tipps or hints?
At the moment i'm not sure if its cheaper by interrail or if we buy just normal tickets. What do you think?
Thanks for every answer.

Hi ...
It depends on how many days you want to travel in total.
I am sure InterRail will be definitely cheaper especially traveling long distances.
If your country of residence is Germany, single train tickets will be cheaper I suppose, as you can not travel for free in your country of residence - and a big part of your travels is within Germany.

Hi,
thanks for this fast reply.
We want to travel for about 7 days. And, yes, our country of residence is Germany.
Are you sure that the train form Ljubljana to Frankfurt is for free? I think travelling in your home country isn't included in the interrail ticket, isn't it?
Greetings

Hi ...
YES I AM SURE that Ljubljana-Frankfurt is free. Except your country of residence is Germany - which I didn't know - I only supposed it as your departure and arrival is Frankfurt. ;)
In you case buy some special offer tickets for the night train to Prague. In Eastern Europe buy single tickets. Have a look at the national railway websites of the countries you are traveling in.
For your way back from Ljubljana to Frankfurt there is a Europa Spezial Kroatien available of DeutscheBahn. Book early if you want to get it. Otherwise it will be very expensive this journey.

hi,
as i already wrote: our home country is germany :)
of course i checked the national railway website, but it's very difficult to find the fees. and so we are still not sure if it's cheaper by interrail or by single tickets...
do you know the fee for the way from ljubljana to frankfurt with interrail (for the german part)?
thanks

... as I answered your question (topic 2), it was not mentioned (topic 1) that your country of residence is Germany. So I am still sure about my answer.
Train Ljubljana-Frankfurt:
Ljubljana Dep: 0927
Salzburg Hbf Dep 1351 - this is the border station - from there you have to pay. If you have a Global IR Pass you will get a 50% discount on the normal fare of the ticket. See country of residence: https://rail.cc/en/how-to-interrail
Special prices are available from EUR 29. Full price is: EUR 89.
