Hi all,

Me and my girlfriend are planning on travelling this summer for 2 weeks in Europe.
As it is our first time we are wondering if anyone could gives us any tips on the best places to go, how much money we will need and equipment.
We are thinking of starting in Italy, visiting places like Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece etc. Any post will be welcome
:D

Hi ...

the best option would be the GLOBAL pass 10 in 22 days ... and the corner you gave as your travel destination is interesting ... maybe have a look at this route:

A route could be for example Rome - Florence - Venice:

Venice - Munich: https://rail.cc/en/night-train/venice-munich-cnl40236/36

Munich - Prague: https://rail.cc/en/munich-prague-ice-train/f3492
Think about Berlin as well: https://rail.cc/en/prague-berlin-train/f3360

Prague - Krakow: https://rail.cc/en/prague-warsaw-night-train/f1443

Krakow - Vienna: https://rail.cc/en/krakow-vienna-night-train/f1903

Vienna - Budapest: free day train - use a direct one like Railjet - otherwise you will have to pay a supplement.

Budapest - Lake Balaton: national train

Lake - Balaton - Zagreb - Croatian Beaches: have a look at the country topics of Hungary and Croatia

Ljubljana - back to Italy: https://rail.cc/en/ljubljana-venice-train/f3663

And definitely read this: https://rail.cc/en/first-interrail-tour/f3303

Thanks for the response Peter.
I will look at these journey routes when i book my ticket.
I am extremley interested in Croatia and spending some time in Split as i have heard it is a really nice place to go.
Does anybody have any tips about where to stay, what to do and the best way to get to Split.
Thanks Simon
