Hi Guys,
Me and some friends (from the UK) are looking to get a 22day interrail ticket, and circle europe.
The only thing I am confused about is what exactly these days are, are they in 22days you can travel on the train as much as you want??
Or each time you travel a day is taken off your 22 days, so realistically you could be travelling for far less than 22days?
Also, a bit confused with the whole night train one day two day situation.
Thanks,
Rob

Hi!
The 22 (continuous) global pass is valid 22 days in a row, ie from Feb 1 - Feb 22. During this period you basically hop on and off every train you want to. :!: But pay attention as there are certain trains which require an additional reservation/supplement which you usually have to buy before boarding the train. Have a look here for a list of supplements: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation
If you are going to buy a 10 in 22 (flexi) global pass you can make use of the 1900-rule for night trains. Have a look here for details: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train

Thanks very much for the quick response!
I think we will be going for the global pass which is good.
Also regarding budget.
I am planning on taking about £1000 for 22days travel, we will look at hostels, and campsites, and sleeping on the train, like the true travelling way! I'm not looking to spend a great deal on food, so basics will be fine for me, basically going out most evenings, spending time near beaches (when by the coast) and seeing monuments is what we are looking for.
Peter sent me a nice route to take, which I have showed the lads and they are keen for it, so thanks for that Peter!

Hi Rob ...
The GLOBAL InterRail Pass 22 days continuous allows you to travel as much as you want within a period of 22 days.
Use as much trains you want - there is no limitation.
At the beginning it might be a bit confusing - but after some days you will find you way. It is easy.
Do it like this:
1) Check the connections available between the places you want to travel:
https://rail.cc/en/search-train-route
2) Check if some of the trains might need supplements:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation
3) If YES, try a search with other options (no HST, only regional trains, only trains without supplements, ....)
4) Check as well the country topics, there are solutions on how to avoid these trains with supplements:
https://rail.cc/en/countries
5) If you want to use a night train, check as well the country topics. There you will find the information you need.
