There are currently no day trains operating on the route (VIENNA -/SALZBURG -) KLAGENFURT to VENICE - you will have to go by bus from Klagenfurt and Villach to Udine and Venice.

Reservation on these buses is [b]compulsory[/b] and it's advisable to get such a reservation in advance, especially at weekends and in summer. You can make these reservations just like normal train reservations at every ÖBB train station or directly at the bus (subject to confirmation).

Yeah, well, still you have to get a ticket for the Italian part of this journey as FUC does not accept InterRail. :|

And, honestly, 23 GBP is much too expensive! The regular on board tariff is 12€!

If you are travelling with IR, you only pay 6€ (for the Italian part of the trip).
