Hi i am planing a interrail trip but i need some help with the trains. I'll be flying to milano malpensa airport from Portugal, and i'll arrive at 00.00h (more the time to pickup bags and stuff), and i would like to know how to reach milan from there at that hour cause i read in another topic that milano express only exists until 22.00h. I'll like to know too, what trains exist from Milan to Rome, daily if there is one, from Rome to Paris, night train (meaning it should depart after 19.00h right?), then from Paris to Madrid (once again night train) and from Madrid do Lisbon, i would like to know what trains exist, cause i only found the Lusitania Hotel Train, a night train. Basically this is my trip plan:
Milan-Rome-Paris-Madrid-Lisbon
I would really aprecciate anybodies help cause i have a 11 people group depending on my organization :|
Thanks people
p.s. sorry for my bad english, i am portuguese :D and sorry if this post it's in the wrong section xP

Hi Luis ...
Right section - and good English ! :)
To give you a little help...
Milano Airport to Milano City Center after midnight: check the following link. You will have as well several bus connections and online booking:
www.sea-aeroportimilano.it/en/malpensa/index.phtml?mod=per_mi_scroll&to=come_arrivare
Milano-Roma:
1) check the train schedules, as you will have a lot of connections daily: https://rail.cc/en/search-train-route
2) compare it to the supplements section - as in Italy depending on the train you will have to pay a little bit: https://rail.cc/de/zugkategorien?country=Italien&c=it
Rome-Paris:
as night train connection you have the following one - and I can recommend it as you save the hostel (and hostels are expensive in Paris and Rome) and it is definitely very fast for such a long distance:
https://rail.cc/en/rome-florence-paris-night-train/f1454
If you are 11 travelers, book two 6-bed-compartments and you are fine !! :)
Paris-Madrid:
Use a French night train to the Spanish border (Hendaye/Irun or Port Bou if you want to travel via Barcelona):
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/france/fr
Check their website as you have different options.
These night trains are cheap- from the border use day train, but pay attention to the supplements (use the schedule planer mentioned above):
https://rail.cc/de/interrail-zugreservierung/spanien/es
Madrid-Lisbon:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail/madrid-to-lisbon
I hope these answer will help you with your preparation of the tour ?! :)
Maybe let you recommend: try to buy reservations - especially for the night trains - in advance, as it might get hard to get enough seats / beds for such a big group. The same for hostels... but in hostels you have the advantage to book a big dorm room for all your group and that's cheap! :)
Train reservations:
https://rail.cc/de/interrail-zugreservierung
If you want to support our project and the forum and all the help, order your official InterRail tickets via [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
If you have any questions concerning your order, do not hesitate to ask me!! :)
Have fun, Peter :)

Thanks for you help Peter, your links were very useful... About the hostels we already have decided in what we are gonna stay; by the way, could you just see if you recgonize their names? :D
Milan: Hotel la Residenza residenzahotel.it
Rome: Astro Hostel astro-hostel-rome.com
Paris: Garden Hotel Paris garden-hotel-paris.com
:arr: [ux]https://rail.shop/bookingcom[/ux]
I know that two of them are Hotels and not Hostels but my group were a little selective about the conditions; the hostel on other hand it's not a great place but it's cheap xD
About the trains, were are not gonna sleep in compartments (they are selective about price as well u.u) and i think there are always availabels seats don't you think?
And the interrail pass thanks for the site but we have already decided to bought them in a rail station near us...
Once again many thanks for your help, any doubt i would come back to ask ;P

Hi again i have one more doubt, but now with the pass itself:
aperantly i can only buy the pass by the internet, cause in my country (Portugal) it's no for sale... So i went to your site and it asked me the information of the titular, including the passport number... The problem is no one have passport cause we tought it was not needed, because we are only traveling in European Union countries... What shall i do know? =s do we have to make passports or there is something i am missing?

hi ...
you can use either:
- a PASSPORT
- or an ID-CARD
so it is no problem if you are using only your ID-Card ... you won't need a passport.
if you have more questions concerning the purchase of your ticket, let me know...

no problem to ask ... :)
if you are all aged 17-23, you will all need the cheaper YOUTH tickets.
at the place called PASSPORT NUMBER you can fill in your ID CARD NUMBERS.
it is no problem to order MORE THAN 5 tickets at once !! :)
simply chose 5, fill in the data, put them in your shopping basket and then you will find a button called CONTINUE SHOPPING.
then visit again the website and put some more tickets in your basket.
direct link is here:

and don't hesitate to ask again, Peter :)

as it is an international transfer, the cheapest and best option is always credit card.
so you can use as credit card VISA or MASTER card.
Peter :)
