Hi. I am thinking of booking a 22 day consecutive ticket leaving approx Mid-March. I have a couple of questions that I would be very grateful if someone could answer.

* does the 22 days start from my first journey e.g. I am planning on getting the eurostar to Paris on the Thursday and staying there for a couple of days before leaving for Switzerland on the Saturday. I am guessing that the 22 days will start from the Saturday??

* The 1900hr rule - is this applicable with the consecutive pass or can I get on a train anytime?

Thank you

Hi!

1. You are right - if you travel first to Paris with a regular Eurostar ticket to spend a few days there it is enough to have a valid InterRail pass the day you leave Paris. In your example this would be the mentioned saturday - when purchasing the InterRail ticket you can enter your desired starting date.

2. No, the 1900-rule does not apply to the consecutive pass - the only thing you will have to think of are the reservations that some trains will require.

Don't forget - if you want to support the work here on the forum and website, please buy your ticket at [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] . Thank you. :)

awesome. I was quite worried about the 19.00 rule because I want to pack quite a lot in. One other question for those that have done it - i do not speak any other languages bar English. Is there usually english speaking reps in most of the big train stations?

In big cities you should be perfectly fine but also in more quiet areas you'll survive. ;)
