Hi!I'm from Greece and I'm really excited about interrail.. :D
I have some basic questions about interrail

1)do I choose a route with the cities I want to visit specifically?
2)Do I choose the amount of days that I will travel?and do I choose how many day I can spend on each city I visit?
3)If I do have a route is it easy to calculate how much money I'm gonna need all together?
4)Am I the one that has to book hostels and accomodation?are there suggested hostels for each city both cheap and safe??
That's all I can think to ask for now..I hope someone will answer my questions!thank u!!! :)

Hi!

1. You decide when and where you are going. You can use the https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route to search for connections between cities - only be careful with supplements (it's all described in the link).
2. When you choose a global pass (valid for almost all Europe) you have the choice between five types that differ in period of validity and travel days - check out: https://rail.cc/en/interrail
3. How much money you will need depends on different variables - kind of accommodation (camping, hostel, hotel), eating (cooking on your own, going to a restaurant), sightseeing etc. I'd calculate with 30-50€ a day including everything (supplements, accommodation, eating, sightseeing,...) - take in mind that western and northern parts of Europe usually are a little bit more expensive than other parts.
4. You have to take care of accommodation yourself - if you want to stay in hostels have a look at ie [ux]https://rail.shop/hostelworld[/ux]
