Hi all,

For part of my interrail trip I wat to visit this old town in Southern Italy called Forenza (not Firenze/Florence). Its a very small town so I was surprised when the Route Planner told me that there was a direct train to it. However when looking on google maps and google earth I could not spot any train line anywhere near Forenza. Could u please tell whether or not there actually is a train station there?

Also, could u please tell me if there is a train route from Potenza in southern Italy to Venice that does not include reservations or supplements, or at the very least one that does not include supplements?

Thanks very much!

Hi!

Forenza railway station actually is some km away and is called Forenza Scalo - if you have a look on Google or Bing Maps you will find it in the west of Forenza.

For train information please wait until I'm home from Uni. ;)

Finally, I'm back home. ;)

FYI: Supplements nowadays usually include a seat reservation so there's not much difference between them. ;)

Alas, there's only one connection without any supplement but there are two quite inexpensive overnight connections as well:

Potenza C (in the schedule planner this is Inferiore) 0530 - 0730 Napoli C
Napoli C 0750 - 0948 Cassino
Cassino 1025 - 1220 Roma T
Roma T 1245 - 1647 Firenze SMN
Firenze SMN 1747 - 1817 Prato
Prato 1857 - 2007 Bologna C
Bologna C 2056 - 2303 Venezia SL

Potenza C 1930 - 2144 Foggia
Foggia 2300 - 0705 SL :arr: ICN train, compulsory reservation; take care to make your reservation in the portion running to Venezia SL, not to Trieste (train number 776/1598)!

Potenza C 2032 - 2247 Salerno
Salerno 0038 - 1118 Venezia SL :arr: E train, compulsory reservation
