Hi, I only can ue /en/.Yes, there is a still quite new now electric line, that ends in a new underground station in Jsl, quite far from that old town where all tourists want to (there is a tramlink). Ev 30 mins daytime, NO trains on the sabbath (Sat).
Ticket is a bit complicated, but as you probably not stay in Jsl forever: buy a RavKav chipcard and put on either money-use then as pay as you go, OR you can put on tickets, like daypasses TlAv-Jsl, incl also local citytransport both sides (but for a single not cost-effective). THis cd can use in all of IS, except for the pre-booked long-dist. EGGED bus, mostly to Eilath. Fares are quite low, lower as what you would pay in PT for same distance.
You may read perhaps about a scenic roundabout old railline to Jsl-NO trains anymore on that for now.
