Hello! I'm going to be travelling through eastern/central Europe for around a month or so next year (Feb-March), this is the route I've planned.. can anyone tell me how long I should spend in each city to get the most out of the trip? I'm getting the 22 day ticket but I'm not including Krakow or Bergamo in that

Krakow - Prague - Bratislava - Budapest - Belgrade - Sarajevo - Zagreb - Ljubljana - Bergamo

Thanks!

Sophie

Bratislava is quite small - you may not even want to spend a night here and instead go to Vienna and do Bratislava as a day trip. If you have the time spend some more time in Slovenia and go to Bled/Bohinj, a couple of days is cool in Ljubljana too. Again if you have the time make the trip to Mostar in Bosnia, the train ride is incredible and Mostar is awesome! A couple of nights in each is a must.

Budapest is big and there is plenty to do for 3 days, Belgrade is a lot less touristy, but there is a big music/clubbing scene so a couple of nights should suffice.

I went in Prag for 1 full day and one afternoon, and, it was bit short (fortunatly, we had a really well situated hostel, so we didn't loose time with transport), if i had to do it again, i would stay two full days at least .

Krakow is worth to stay as well at least two nights.
You will find a lot of places to go out in the evening as there are a lot of students. :)
