PRAGUE (Praha) - DRESDEN - BERLIN - DORTMUND - COLOGNE (Köln) - DÜSSELDORF - UTRECHT - AMSTERDAM | night train | CNL 456 Kopernikus
Information for Interrail, Eurail and travellers with single train tickets travelling by night train from Prague (Czech Republic) to Amsterdam (Netherlands).
Direct night train connection from Prague to Amsterdam. Special price tickets available. Booking see bellow.
Attention Interrail and Eurail Pass travellers: if you want to book a reservation only for this train, either departure or arrival station has to be in Germany. So either travel by free EC train from Prague to Dresden and then book the night train on Dresden to Amsterdam. Or book Prague to Duisburg and continue from Duisburg by free ICE train to Amsterdam (or explain the train staff your booking situation - usually they will accept it - or just move to the regular seat carriages at the head of the train).

Amsterdam - Prague: https://rail.cc/en/night-train/amsterdam-prague-cnl457/15
 Book your official online-ticket for this route directly in the railcc-Bahn shop (including special price tickets and specials like Europe Special):
[ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux]
The price for you is the same like at DB. But you directly support the railcc project with your purchase. Thank you!

I'm confused about Interrail and the [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux] website.. I want to book a seat on a sleeper train from Amsterdam to Prague, everyone keeps telling me that my global Interrail pass gets me a discount, but the only options in the drop down menu are various types of BahnCard, 'A Advantage card', 'CH half fare' and 'NL Voordeelurenabo'.. if I pay in full it's apparently over £100... help? :|

Hi.
Please read above in the first post: if you want to book a discounted Interrail reservation online, either departure or arrival station has to be in Germany.

So, in your case book until the last station in Germany: Bad Schandau (arr 0736)
Since the cost of the reservation is always the same, regardless of distance travelled it should be no problem to stay longer in your booked seat/bed until Prague. Just explain the situation to the conductor. In the unlikely case that you are not allowed to stay you could move to the regular seat carriages at the head of the train.

Ok, sorry but another stupid question.. everyone is telling me that Amsterdam-->Prague is covered by my Interrail Pass and that I only need to pay a reservation fee, which according to Interrail's website I can do on [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux] .. but I can't find the 'Seat Reservation Only (no ticket)' option that is apparently there when you go to purchase.. help again!
Sorry... I think I'm having a blond day... :))

I'm trying to book two overnight tickets with a sleeper for my parents in April. I've gone through the Bahn web page and followed the steps a number of times. I read that you can book this ticket a maximum of 21 days in advance. Is this true?
If so, can they indeed be purchased online/printed, etc?
If it were me travelling, I wouldn't mind, but as my parents haven't done too much travelling recently in Europe and are in their 70s, I'm trying to take care of everything for them/make sure they know what to expect....
I guess what I'd really like is to someone clearly to explain the steps that need to be taken in order for me to buy these tix.
Cheers

Hi.
I suppose you are talking about point to point tickets, not a reservation for a rail pass?
Which date you are looking for? Usually pre-booking of standard point to point tickets is 3 months. For the direct CNL train, you can book already longer in advance.
Go on https://rail.shop/bahn?l=en (this is the link to the ENGLISH version)
Fill in: Praha hl.n. AND Amsterdam Centraal
Select the date and fill in the departure time 18:29
Select the night train, then the system asks for the age of the two travellers. Fill in.
And select again the night train.
Then you see prices and the different options of beds/seats.
Select 2 Persons in Economy Double OR 2 Persons in Deluxe Double. Then your parents are together in their own compartment.
Then just follow the next steps. You can get e-tickets (print out at home - the wagon number and compartment number is on the e-ticket. The sleeper wagons which your parents will use have English speaking staff at the doors. Very friendly and helpful. It is easy even for older travellers.
